Hi gorgeous! Eyebrows can definitely be tricky. I recommend using the ELF Professional Studio Eyebrow Kit($3.00) to fill in and shape your eyebrows to your liking. The color selection isn’t enormous, but this product is literally magic. I guarantee you’ll fall in love with it! I use it practically every day and I have never once had an issue with it. The kit comes with a very easy to use gel and powder duo, I think it’s perfect for beginners!
I don’t want to bore you with a huge essay on how to fill in your brows, so i’ll give you the short and sweet version! Using a spoolie brush, gently comb out your eyebrows so you have the perfect canvas to work with. (If you’re stuck in a pinch and don’t have a spoolie brush on hand, you can use a clean mascara wand! It works just the same, if not better!) Next, take an angled brush and apply the gel to your brows with very light pressure. Use the gel to fill in any sparse areas of your brows as well as shape them accordingly. To achieve Cat’s brow look, try your best to make your brows appear a bit thicker, as well as reduce the appearance of any natural arch that you may have. Once you believe you’re complete, take that same spoolie brush that we used prior and give your brows a quick comb to ensure the product has been distributed evenly. Finally, take a small tapered brush and apply the corresponding powder all over your brows for a flawless look. If you want to take it a step farther, use a concealer slightly lighter than your natural complexion and apply it right underneath your brows onto whats called your “brow bone.” This will give you the appearance of a very “clean” and “neat” brow.

If you have lips that are on the thinner side, it’s super easy to give them a little extra help. Start off by using a lip liner that is finely sharpened and is the exact same color of your lipstick (if it’s darker, you’ll look like you just walked out of the 90′s!) Next, trace around the very outside of your lips. Try focusing on the border of your lips. Trace very slow and apply light pressure to avoid any possible mishaps. Be careful not to overdraw too much, it’s best to stay as close to your natural lip shape as possible!
I recommend using the Pro Longwear Lip Pencil($20.00) from MAC cosmetics. It lasts all day and has amazing pigmentation!

Of course i’ll help you sweetie! Don’t stress! Liquid eyeliner is probably one of the hardest makeup techniques there is to master.
First, let’s look at Ari’s eyeliner:
Ari’s liner is very bold and dramatic. Since you’re a beginner, I recommend going a little more simple with the look. This way, you can gradually work your way up to learning how to do the full “cat eye” effect. It will be much easier to learn this way. Also; Instead of going straight into liquid liner, have you tried using a gel liner? It’s insanely easier to work with in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact liner Ari uses anymore.
Here’s a step by step tutorial on applying gel eyeliner I found that I think you may find useful. Remember, practice makes perfect! (:
Hi everyone! Welcome to my second review in our brand new makeup review series! I was so excited when I came across this new BB cream from Maybelline in my drugstore. I did a little research and discovered this BB cream actually came out a while ago in other countries, but it just came out in America. So for those of you who aren’t in America, this may not be exactly “new” to you. This BB cream in particular is formulated for people with acne, which I found a little strange considering this beauty balm has a luminous finish. A luminous finish isn’t the best for acne as it actually brings attention to it (yikes!) And believe me, if you have acne you’re going to want to have more coverage than what this balm provides. I also hate the fact that this formula contains 2% salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a drying agent used to fight acne, but it really should only be formulated into spot treatments, not in a product that is applied all over your face in my opinion. When salicylic acid is applied to your face repeatedly it will no doubt dry your skin out. Even if you have oily or combo skin. If you’re still interested in the product, I recommend using it as a primer under a foundation so you are provided with more coverage. The price of this product is about $9.99, which is the average price for a drugstore foundation.

I have no idea i’m sorry! But to have healthy hair you should wash your hair every other day because if you wash it every day it will strip everything from your hair and damage it. You also can use dry shampoo and when you curl or straighten your hair try to use Heat Protecting spray. If you have dye in your hair use a special shampoo and conditioner for your hair. -brianna xx
Edit: In an interview with Seventeen magazine, Ariana mentioned using products like Moroccan Argon oil in her hair immediately after taking a shower. To use this miracle oil, apply a dime sized amount to your hair, paying close attention to the ends. Add extra depending on your hairs length. If you can not afford Moroccan Argon oil (it is a bit on the pricey side unfortunately) Moroccan infused shampoo’s or conditioners are an amazing substitute. Herbal Essences “Moroccan My Shine” is my personal favorite, and it’s only a fraction of the cost! It is also rumored that Ariana gets a Keratin treatment from time to time, which would explain the lack of her natural curls! Hope this helps. Gosh, I could just go on and on about hair! Ariana Grande / Cat Valentine inspired back to school makeup look! (Requested)
Lips: Ariana and Cat always have very light and natural looking lips, which is very appropriate look for school! Wearing a bold lip the first few day of classes may give your teacher the wrong impression of you, and you only get one chance at a first impression! Nivea lip butters and lip glosses are very inexpensive, and last a really long time! They’re definitely worth a try.
Eyes: Ariana’s eyes are naturally big, and gorgeous! She also has stunningly long eyelashes. To achieve this look, I highly recommend Maybelline’s “Rocket Volume” mascara and their “Big Eyes” mascara. False eyelashes are also a great way to achieve Ariana’s look, as long as they’re not up to your eyebrows of course! Ariana and Cat never really go heavy on the eyeshadow, so be careful when choosing your eyeshadow color. It’s best if they look natural. Baked eyeshadows are very pigmented, and are most likely your best bet.
Face: Ariana and Cat both have a flawless looking faces. Revlon Colorstay is a great foundation that will make you look perfect, it’s also very inexpensive. Please keep in mind that foundation is used to perfect your skin tone, not create a new one! So please, try finding the best shade for your skin. Stores like Target and Walgreens even let you test the colors out in the store. The best way to sample a foundation is lightly swatching a small amount on the back of your hand. To help insure that your foundation will last all day, be sure to use a primer. As for using bronzers and blushes, I really don’t recommend this, as your first month of school will most likely be hot, depending on where you live. We don’t want all that product melting off your beautiful face! Although, I find that it is mandatory to use a loose powder so you don’t look oily throughout the day. My personal favorite is Rimmel London’s “Stay Matte.”
Nails: Ariana and Cat almost always wear a light pink color on their nails. Essie has a large selection of light pinks, all very inexpensive. Essie also has a reputation for making nail polishes that rarely fade or chip, so it’s a win win for everybody!
Touch-ups, Tips, and Tricks: Wether it’s after gym or in between classes, it’s always a good idea to touch up your powder during the day so you don’t look like a grease ball. Never, EVER re-apply the powder all over your face again as this will make you look cakey and clog your pores (creating acne!!) your best bet is to take a small sculpting brush or even a eyeshadow brush to apply just a small amount of powder to the sections of your face where you look oily.
